Sue Tonyan - Owner & Stylist
Breathe founder Sue Tonyan has been in the industry for 25 years. She has been an owner for the past 14 years. Sue purchased her first salon Planet Hair Salon with $2500.00 in 1996. Within a few years her reputation as a salon owner and her good business sense required her to add more square footage to accommodate the rapid growth and influx of stylists wanting to work for her. The salon grew from a 1200 square foot salon to a 4000 square foot salon and the addition of a day spa.
Sue's philosophy has always been to create a beautiful environment with a talented, caring staff. She has a strong commitment to her staff's success, works hard and employee's similar people. "We have no prima donnas so we have a strong dedicated staff that enjoys working together. At Breathe Salon & Spa guests can escape their hectic lives leaving beautiful and refreshed." Tonyan says.
Five years ago Sue discovered she had a passion for hair extensions and found a method that met her expectations. She had looked at many but never found one that impressed her enough to use on clients. Since then she has gone to numerous advanced educational classes and continually researches for the best hair and new methods. She has become well known in the area for her extension work and is often referred to by other stylists and salons.

Alisa Simpson - Manager
Alisa has been in the spa & salon industry for over 5 years. As the manager she enjoys planning events and running the day-to-day tasks at Breathe. She is a true "type A" personality who generally enjoys organizing and cleaning. Recently a newlywed, Alisa enjoys going on bike rides, taking trips to Las Vegas, and visiting Disneyland with her husband. She would love to stay in the spa & salon industry in the future or perhaps open her own All Star Cheer Company. Alisa also hopes to become a parent and start her own family someday.

Robin Ott - Salon & Spa Coordinator
Robin was born and raised in S0-CAL, is happily married and has two children and two grandchildren. She has a love of people, a passion for detail, and great social skills, making her a perfect fit for Breathe's busy front desk.
Robin has worked the front desk of Breathe, with her twin sister Tracey (below), for four years and looks forward to many more.

Tracey Sullivan - Salon & Spa Coordinator
Tracey has currently been working as a Salon & Spa Coordinator for four years. She has twenty plus years experience in the retail industry but loves this job as her most "rewarding".
Working with her twin sister Robin has been a positive and fun experience, especially when no one acn tell them apart. In her free time Tracey enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and her dog Roxy.

Sharla Morgenstern - Nail Tech
Raised in Las Vegas, NV., Sharla moved to Orange County a year ago and loves it! She has a beautiful two year old daughter named Brooklyn, and her other "baby" is a six year old Pug named Bean.
Sharla has been licensed for eighteen years and loves what she does. Sharla joined Breathe over 5 months ago and is here to stay.

Ava is a dedicated body-worker with over 15 years of experience. She thoughtfully custom tailors your massage to suit your own personal needs with a compassionate, conscious touch. The intention she holds for her clients is grounded in a very healing, nurturing and attentive presence.
Her specialties are Deep Tissue, Swedish, Trigger Point, Reflexology, Neuromuscular, Sports Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Posture Re-education, Emotional Release, and Ultimate Sedation.

Steffany has over 13 years of experience in the skin care industry. She is a licensed esthetician and is certified in Epicuren, Jan Marini, & Microderm lines. Steffany is also trained in consulting for medical spa services such as lasers, botox, & restylane. She enjoys and specializes in waxing services. She is happily married and in her free time loves to spend time with her two children.

Amie Orpin - Skin Care
Amie has been an esthetician for 9 years. She specializes in all body waxing and is trained in all our skin care lines which include Epicuren, Jan Marini and Dermalogica.
She aslo does consulting for our medical spa treatments.
Amie has worked at Breathe Spa for 6 years and loves it! When she is not at work with her spa family she enjoys being a mom and spending time with her 4 year old daughter.

Michelle has been in the hair industry for over 22 years. She specializes in cuts, colors, weaves, and Brazilian Blowouts. She enjoys learning new education techniques and continuing her education in the industry. Michelle loves to go camping in her motor home and ride her bike at the beach. She also enjoys spending time with her family and traveling in her free time.

Elise Hardin - Hairstylist
Elise has been a hair stylist for over 23 years in Orange County, Ca. She is married and is mother to one girl and stepmother to another.
Specializing in color and haircutting, Elise uses and recommends Schwarzkopf products, Moroccan Oil, and many others. She offers the Brazilian Blowout hair smoothing system to her clientele.

Michelle Wells Hill - Hairstylist
Michelle received her cosmetology license through Goldenwest College. In 1980 she opened and operated Nature Cutters in Fountain Valley, CA. for 16 years, where she practiced all phases of aesthetics such as skin care, nails, and hair.
In 1996 Michelle joined former employee Sue Tonyan's new venture Planet Hair and then followed Sue to their new home, years later, Breathe. She stays on top of her education with continual advanced classes & seminars, such as KMS, etc. Michelle specializes in cutting and coloring, especially REDs, like herself!

Maureen Adkins - Hairstylist
She has been a licensed cosmetologist for over 20 years. She feels so lucky to enjoy what she does for a living. She has a passion for creating, and loves the beauty and fashion industry. She likes to do color whatever it may be or maintaining a color or creating a new one. Maureen takes pleasure in spending time with her 2 beautiful daughters and husband in her spare time.

Becky has enjoyed 20+ years as a hairstylist and making people look their best. She specializes in perms, color, 1st haircuts, and traditional roller sets. She uses and recommends KMS & Prive products, as well as many others.
Becky is married and has two children. She worked as a hairstylist in Nebraska for 11 years until relocating to Orange County, Ca.

Rosa has been a hairstylist for over 15 years and has a special love for formal styling including popular vintage and retro styles. Her favorite client is the one who wants to create a "whole new look", allowing her to use her knowledge, sense of style, and flare for finding the best overall design & color for her clients.
Rosa has taken full advantage of further education by attending TIGI, KMS, Kadus, Schwarzkopf, Goldwell, Prive, as well as many other advanced classes.
Her positive & friendly attitude is enjoyed not only by her clientele, but the Breathe staff as well. Rosa is engaged to be married.

Lydia has worked in Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley California for 21 years. Working from customers age one too ninety eight years young. She has advanced training with Kadus Hair color from Germany. Her passion, finding the best treatment for unruly frizzy hair. She has many hours of advanced training with Yuko Systems, and her latest, Brazilian Blowout Smoothing Treatment.

Amy Iverson - Hairstylist
Amy has been in the hair & makeup industry for over 25 years. Equally skilled in both simple/traditional aesthetics as well as the avante garde. She LOVES doing hair and makeup, especially color, wedding, and "party" looks. Amy has worked for Knotts Scary Farm, as well as other cultural venues, doing theatrical (special effects) makeup and hair.

Jill's enthusiastic and warm persona, as well as her 30+ years in the industry gives her an edge in her field. She has worked in Century City, Ventura, and now Huntington Beach in California and has earned a loyal clientele.
As a color artist Jill uses and recommends Goldwell Color and Prive hair products. Jill has attended extensive advanced training and classes over her 30+ years, always keeping on top of the latest trends and products.

Nikki has been in the hair industry for 20 years in Huntington Beach. She specializes in updo's and color services. She has taken education classes from Vidal Sasoon, Trevor Sorbie, Martin Pasons, International Hair Color Exchange, and many more over her career. She continues to take current education classes and is passionate about the industry. In her spare time, Nikki is adventurous in nature. A few of her hobbies are camping, car racing, speed skating, gymnastics, running, most athletics, photography and crafts.
